Both the blossom and crab apples are beautiful features of Malus 'Sugar Tyme' and make it a great choice of tree for the garden. The white blossom appears from pale pink buds in spring and small red crab apples develop in autumn. Green deciduous leaves are slender and ovate, turning yellow in autumn.
This Crab Apple tree has an upright, oval shape and will reach around 5 metres in height and 3 metres in spread after 20 years. Full sun to partial shade will suit Malus 'Sugar Tyme' and it can tolerate clay, although will grow best in fertile soil.
